Planning your holiday getaway? The drive there is always exciting, but the return trip? Not so much. That’s why Avis offers a special one-way rental deal - no drop-off fees, no extra charges, and up to 1,500 km included. Your route could be one of our no-fee, one-way options, making your journey back effortless.
Avis Car Rental rates are valid using a minimum of 2 days rental in all regions. A minimum 2 day rental is required and rentals do not need to include a Saturday & Sunday.
No additional drivers will be permitted on weekend rentals except for direct family members.
If you are renting over a weekend an additional "weekend authorisation" will be taken for the duration of the rental as follows:
Applicable to Western Cape only: R3,500 (on all car groups)
- During weekends, R3,500 is payable when producing a boarding pass, should no boarding pass be presented, then you are liable to pay R7,000 as an authorisation.
- During the week, R3,500 will be payable irrespective of a boarding pass being present as an authorisation.
The additional weekend authorisation will be waived from airport locations upon presentation of a valid airline boarding pass/e-ticket printout.
Remember to factor in the amount that will be held against your credit card, so you have enough to spend on your journey.
Once the car has been returned your credit card will be debited with the final amount due. The authorisation amount will be released within the time frame as stipulated by your own banking institution.

Terms & Conditions: Avis South Africa Summer Campaign
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the "Avis Summer" promotion ("Promotion") organized by Zenith Car Rental, trading as Avis Rent a Car ("Organizer").
1.2 By participating in this Promotion, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1 The Promotion is open to legal residents of South Africa aged 18 years and older.
3. Promotion Period
3.1 The Promotion commences on 15 November 2024 and ends on 31 January 2025 ("Promotion Period").
3.2 Book for a minimum of 2 days + Get 1 day extra from 15 November 2024 until 31 January 2025.
3.3 One-way offers are available as part of the summer campaign:
3.3.1 Travelers driving from KZN & BFN regions to Gauteng and the Northern Province can save on one-way fees from 30 November to 19 December 2024.
3.3.2 Travelers driving from the EC & WC regions to KZN & BFN can save on one-way fees from 4 January 2025 to 31 January 2025.
3.4 All travel must be concluded by 31 January 2025.
4. How to Enter
4.1 Book and rent an Avis car anytime between 15 November 2024 and 31 January 2025.
4.2 Ensure that the rental is completed within South Africa.
4.3 Book Minimum 2 + Get 1-Day Extra Promotion:
4.3.1 Enter AWD or promo code C795901 when making your booking to get an extra rental day for free.
4.3.2 Offer is subject to vehicle availability.
4.4 No One-Way Fee Promotion:
4.4.1 Travel one way from KZN & BFN regions to Gauteng and the Northern Province between 30 November and 19 December 2024.
4.4.2 Travel one way from EC & WC regions to KZN & BFN between 4 January and 31 January 2025.
4.4.3 Enjoy up to 1,500 free kilometers.

5. General Conditions
5.1 All entries must be original and must not violate any third-party rights.
5.2 The Organizer reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
5.3 The Organizer is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information supplied by any entrant or third party.
5.4 Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or any other compensation.

6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from participation in the Promotion, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
6.2 The Organizer is not liable for any technical or human errors that may occur during the administration of the Promotion.

7.1 Personal data provided by participants will be used solely for administering the Promotion in accordance with the Organizer's privacy policy.
8. Governing Law
8.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
