Picking up your hire car at Avis East Midlands Airport
When arriving at East Midlands Airport please go to our desk inside of Arrivals (opposite 'WH Smiths'). To collect your rental car, walk straight through Arrivals and follow the path around past Departures, then follow the yellow arrows for car rental.
Upon arrival, Avis Preferred customers will need to announce themselves as such and we will have your pre-printed rental documentation and vehicle keys ready.
There is no additional charge if you have a reservation and your flight is delayed or diverted. No out-of-hours reservations will be met without a valid method of payment and flight details.
The fee for pre-booked and confirmed out-of-hours reservations is £20 for up to two hours after the location closing time and £40 for any time after that. Vehicle keys cannot be left at the airport information desk or other third party. Book now

Returning your car
Cars should be returned to the car rental village located on Dove Road.Directions to the car rental village
When turning into the airport main roundabout, take the first left onto Viscount Road then proceed straight on at the next two mini roundabouts and then take the next right onto Dove Road.
In-hours return procedure
When arriving at the car rental village, you just need to park your rental car in the return bays marked 'Avis Budget'. One of our rapid return agents will check your car in.
Out-of-hours return procedure
If you need to return your car when we're closed you just need to park your rental car in the return bays marked 'Avis Budget' and then leave your keys in one our drop boxes.
Please remember to lock your rental car. Our two out-of-hours drop boxes are located outside of the arrivals building to the left as you look out onto the short stay car park and at our terminal desk located inside of arrivals opposite 'WH Smiths'.
Any cars returned to the short-stay car park at the airport will incur a parking charge and any liability will be with the renter.
