GDS Bookings for Van Rental
Avis Van Rental's fleet now conveniently availible on GDS
Travel agents can look forward to being able to book Avis Van Rental on the Global Distribution System (GDS) which enables automated transactions between travel service providers and travel agencies. This system takes away the need to make bookings directly through the Avis Van Rental website or Reservations Call Centre, allowing a smoother and more convenient navigation and booking process.“We are excited to announce the integration of GDS, which combines both the Galileo and Amadeus platforms. Travel agents are no longer required to navigate out of GDS to the Avis website or Call Centre which makes the booking process more streamlined, assessable and convenient for travel agents. This system has also enabled us to open up more Avis branches for bookings and provide a wider fleet range selection,” says Leon Fourie, General Manager, Avis Van Rental.
Travel Agents with checked out rentals will be rewarded with additional guaranteed Roses through the ClubRed programme. All rate code’s earning 5 Roses will now be increased to 15 and rate codes earning 20 Roses will be increased to 30 Roses. Roses can be redeemed or converted to eBucks. This once off incentive will run for four weeks from 17th May 2017.
