The Ingula power station is a R16,6-billion project, which is a pumped storage scheme situated on the border between the Free State and KwaZula-Natal (KZN), is currently on schedule to commission its first unit in September 2012. The Ingula Power Station has provided direct and indirect employment to about 4 000 local people.
