We are conveniently situated close to the CBD in Richards Bay, on Bullion Boulevard, the Richards Bay Branch of Avis Van Rental is no more than 10 minutes from local hotels as well as the Richards Bay Regional airport, and is adjacent to the Alton Industrial area.
We offer 4x4 vehicles for the commercial & leisure markets in both Single Cab & Double Cab formats. All vehicles come with canopies if required as well as towballs and electric plugs. We also have various size trucks and passenger carriers (10+people). Should you require a trailer with the van we can arrange for this as well.
A strict vehicle servicing policy is followed according to manufacturer specifications in order to maximise vehicle reliability for our customers. We offer a 24 hour vehicle replacement policy in the event of accidental or mechanical failure, all vehicles are fitted with a live GPS tracking unit, and for longer term rentals we are able to offer fuel cards. Similarly our vehicles can be collected & delivered to / from Richards Bay Airport if you are flying in, or at any location of your choice within Northern KZN.
Richards Bay is situated in Zululand, and is the ideal gateway to explore & marvel at one of the world’s most unique sites, the greater St. Lucia Wetlands – a world heritage site. Sodwana Bay, further to the north, is one of South Africas’ great diving meccas.
The big 5 can be seen roaming the famous Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Park, the Tembe Elephant Park, as well as Ndumo & Ithala Game Reserve. Phinda Game Reserve is also well known for its diversity of game. Turtle watching in St.Lucia is highly recommended.
Richards Bay is one of the fastest growing industrial nodes in South Africa, and is the largest deep water harbour in Southern Africa. It is home to some of the world’s largest corporations namely Anglo American (Mondi), Rio Tinto (Richards Bay Minerals) & South32 (Hillside Aluminium). Other large South African companies operating in Richards Bay include Bell Equipment, Foskor Fertilisers & Richards Bay Coal Terminal. Richards Bay / Empangeni & Ulundi are also home to the regional departments of several government offices.
