In the unlikely event that your vehicle should let you down or any roadside or medical emergency arise you simply call our 24 hour Careline on 0800 001 669 or +27 11 387 8432.We also offer a supplementary Roadside Assistance service, taking care of mishaps like tyre changes, flat batteries and keys being locked in the car.
No matter what time of day or night, you'll find someone on the other end of the line ready to try harder for you!
Avis Extended Roadside Assistance
While all customers receive our standard roadside and emergencies service the Avis Roadside Assistance service covers any non-mechanical issue you may face, for only R50.00 per day!
This includes:
- Tyre assistance. We will replace a flat or damaged tyre with the spare or provide a tow to the nearest service facility (replacement tyre costs are an additional charge unless you have also purchased our Windscreen and Tyre Damage Waiver).
- Lock out Service. We’ll help you gain entry when keys are locked inside the vehicle.
- Fuel delivery. If you run out of fuel, we will deliver fuel to your location to get you on your way (fuel charges will apply).
- Flat battery. If your vehicle experiences battery failure, we will give you a jump start.
- Lost Keys - We'll drop off a replacement vehicle for you (replacement keys will be charged for).
What if I have an accident?
- First and foremost, ensure you and your passengers taken care of. If there are any injuries contact emergencies straight away.
- Remember not to leave the vehicle without making sure it is secure.
- We recommend takings photos of the accident to assist with your claim.
- Fill in the accident form included in your rental papers.
- Call the Avis Roadside and Emergencies call centre on 0800 001 669 / +27 11 387 8432.
- Write down names and addresses of all people involved and any witnesses; never admit liability.
- Report the accident at the nearest police station and get a case number.
- Please do not have the car repaired without our prior and formal approval.
